All apps
Apps are ready-made tools for the jobs teams do most - transcripts, spreadsheets, documents, images, video, music and speech - each with a focused screen of its own.
Chat can do almost anything, but some jobs deserve a purpose-built screen: a drop zone for recordings, a row-by-row runner for spreadsheets, a player for generated audio. Apps are those screens. Open Apps in the left sidebar to see them all. Each one picks sensible defaults, shows the settings that matter for that job, and keeps a history of what you made.

Where apps show up
- Apps page. The full list, from Apps in the sidebar.
- Home. The home page’s What would you like to do? row offers the most common apps right under the composer.
- Results stay put. Transcripts and documents keep their own lists, and generated videos, tracks and speech each get a result page with a Download button.
Credits
Apps use credits like chats do. Result pages for transcripts, videos, music and speech show what each one cost. Media generation - especially video - uses noticeably more credits than a text answer, so it pays to get the prompt right before you generate. Your workspace’s consumption is on the sidebar usage meter; admins see the detail in Usage and billing.
