AI behaviour
The AI Behaviour tab of your workspace - the workspace prompt every model follows, plus the snippets and response styles you share with everyone.
The AI Behaviour tab is where owners and admins shape how the AI responds for everyone in the workspace. It holds three things: the Workspace Prompt, which is always on; Workspace Snippets, context people switch on when they need it; and Workspace Response Styles, shared ways of writing a reply. The tab puts it in one line: “Shape how the AI responds for everyone in the workspace with a shared prompt, snippets and response styles.”
Open the Workspace page (app.stickyprompts.com/workspace) and select AI Behaviour, the second tab after General. The workspace prompt used to live on the General tab; it is here now.
Which one to use
| Applies | Use it for | |
|---|---|---|
| Workspace prompt (1) | Always, in every chat, for everyone | The few rules that should always be true |
| Workspace snippets (2) | Only when someone switches them on in a chat | Company facts, brand voice, product details |
| Workspace response styles (3) | When someone picks the style in a chat | Shared formats, such as how to answer a customer |
The workspace prompt is the heaviest tool: every line reaches every conversation. Snippets and styles are opt-in, so they can be more specific without getting in the way of work they don’t fit.
Workspace prompt
The Workspace Prompt “extends the system prompt of every AI model for everyone in the workspace.” Whatever you write here is added to every conversation, whichever model someone picks.
- Write the prompt
On the AI Behaviour tab, type into Enter your workspace prompt.
- Select Save Workspace Prompt
The prompt applies to everyone in the workspace.
Use it for the few things that should always be true:
You are assisting employees of Northwind, a European retailer of knitwear
and home textiles. Write in British English. Use EUR for amounts unless
asked otherwise. Never invent figures - if data is missing, say so.
Workspace snippets
Workspace Snippets are “reusable instructions and context every workspace member can enable in their chats.” People switch them on with the puzzle button in the composer, where they are listed under WORKSPACE, next to their own snippets. See Snippets.
- Select Create snippet
Under Workspace Snippets, select Create snippet. It is the same dialog people use in their own settings, without the Visibility choice: a snippet created here is always a workspace snippet.
- Fill in the snippet
Give it a Name, a Description (shown in the snippet picker) and the Content the AI should follow when the snippet is on.
- Select Create
The snippet is listed on this tab, and everyone can tick it in their snippet picker.
In the Demo Inc. workspace, About Northwind (“Who we are, what we sell, the numbers.”) gives the AI the company facts:
Northwind is a European retailer of knitwear and home textiles, founded
in 2011. We run 12 stores in France, Spain and Portugal (Lyon and Porto
opened in August 2026) and an online shop that makes up 31% of sales.
Our customers are 30 to 55, and buy for quality and natural materials:
merino, alpaca and organic cotton. Head office is in Lyon. We report in
EUR; the financial year runs January to December.
Good workspace snippets are the facts many people need but not in every chat: the company profile, the brand voice, a product line, a key account. If there are none yet, the section reads “No workspace snippets yet. Create one to share it with the workspace.”
Workspace response styles
Workspace Response Styles are “styles every workspace member can pick to shape how the AI replies.” They appear in the composer’s Style picker under WORKSPACE, between people’s own styles and the built-in ones. See Response styles.
Select Create response style under Workspace Response Styles, then give it a name, instructions and a description. The demo workspace has Customer reply (“Replies to customers, signed by the Northwind team.”):
Answer the customer's question in the first sentence. Then at most
three short paragraphs. Friendly and plain, no internal jargon or
ticket codes. If we got something wrong, say sorry once. Sign off as
"The Northwind team".
A shared style keeps everyone’s output consistent: every customer reply has the same shape and sign-off, whoever writes it and whichever model answers. If there are none yet, the section reads “No workspace response styles yet. Create one to share it with the workspace.”
Edit or delete
Every workspace snippet and workspace style on this tab has a pencil to edit it and a bin to delete it. They are shared with the whole workspace, so check the wording before you save.
